| Description |
This class reviews current surgical and nursing best practice standards for joint arthroplasty, fractures, total shoulder arthroplasty, and spine surgery. Topics include preoperative optimization, multimodal pain management, prevention and recognition of postoperative complications, fall prevention, and safe mobilization. Participants will also explore PT/OT collaboration and effective patient and family discharge education related to infection, pain, DVT prevention, falls, mobility, and recovery.
