Pharmacy Legal & Regulatory Update 2023 (ACPE UAN 0062-9999-23-062-L03-T, 1 credit hour, knowledge-based) Objectives: 1. Discuss legislative changes in South Carolina that impact pharmacy practice 2. Summarize federal and state legislation related to hormonal contraception and immunization practices in community pharmacy 3. Discuss the pharmacy technician’s role in relation to the legislation regarding contraception

Immunization Update 2023 (ACPE UAN 0062-9999-23-063-L06-T, 1 credit hour, knowledge-based) Objectives: 1. Identify how vaccines work with the immune system to develop lasting immune response 2. Discuss legal and regulatory updates impacting the provision of immunizations 3. Identify updates to the ACIP recommended vaccines for pediatric and adult populations

New Medications on the Market (ACPE UAN 0062-9999-23-064-L01-T, 1 credit hour, knowledge-based) Objectives: 1. Identify recently approved medications on the U.S. market 2. Discuss appropriate dosing and administration information for the newly approved medications 3. Recognize adverse effects to properly assess and monitor patients on therapy
