Description |
Objectives:
Upon completion of the pacemaker class the learner will:
• Identify types of pacemakers; transcutaneous, transvenous, temporary, and permanent pacemakers
• Identify which area of the heart the pacemaker pacing based on rhythm analysis; atrial, ventricular, biventricular and AV sequential.
• Identify clinical conditions that warrant pacemaker use.
• Differentiate pacemaker types based on North American society of pacing and EP codes.
• Utilize resources to identify what type of permanent pacemaker the patient has.
• Describe appropriate post operative care for the pacemaker patient(optional)
