| Description | Negotiation isn’t just for boardrooms and business deals. As a social worker, you negotiate every day. Whether it’s advocating for a client with a school or healthcare provider, navigating conflicts between family members, or coordinating care with colleagues. The ability to negotiate effectively can mean the difference between securing critical resources for your clients, building trust, and achieving positive outcomes.
In this interactive virtual workshop, you’ll learn practical negotiation strategies designed for the real-world challenges social workers face. You’ll practice techniques to handle high-stakes conversations with assurance, communicate clearly under pressure, and balance empathy with assertiveness. Using guided exercises, peer coaching, and real-world scenarios, you’ll leave ready to advocate for your clients, collaborate more effectively, and navigate tricky conversations to improve your practice. |
