| Description | Delirium and dementia are separate disorders but are sometimes difficult to distinguish. When patients present with symptoms that make it challenging for healthcare professionals to differentiate between dementia and delirium, it can result in an increasingly distressing experience, delays in diagnosis and treatment, and/or an increased risk of morbidity. Recognizing the growing prevalence of mental health issues, including delirium and dementia cases, this webinar was designed to equip nursing professionals with an understanding of the distinctions between the two. |
